Recommendation/Instructions. Note: The PCM must be programmed prior to programming the CCM if both have been replaced. Program PCM Remove class 2 line from DLC pin position number 2.   Some may have j2534 wrapper driver installation error when performing GM SPS programming by GM MDI / MDI2 /VXDIAG VCX NANO GM.  Here is an official workaround from GM and it’s super easy. The solution was tested with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome on Windows 7 and Windows 10 systems though GM would rather you use IE on Win10. GM released a new version (1.04.8.0) version of the J2534 wrapper and they force your hand into installing it, even if you have the old version. However, the installer isn’t asking for UAC permission. Run IE as administer Press Yes if Windows ask to allow app to make changes to the device Login to your ACDelco TDS account Go to SPS programming Start SPS Run SPS application Install j2534 wrapper j2534 wrapper driver install successfully Connect device, Select J2534 device and start SPS programming.

  My dad has a 2012 Chevy Equinox that uses newer GM network platform. No diagnostic coverage using a GM Tech2. The Equinox has been suffering some BCM problems lately with no way to plug in.. Only thing I could get was powertrain codes using a cheap scanner. Anyway GM MDI 2 . Used.  I got a good MDI clone from a trusted source Autonumen.com.  I have used this site since July 2015. Bought a mdi2 wifi version with a hard drive. Came in today. It uses a laptop. works well, would recommend cloning HDD, as they seem to be easy to wipe it windows does a check disk.  The HDD has many different packages to install as needed. I have used on the Chevy, will try on a Buick next time I have one to work on. This interface can do system diagnostics and ….added bonus….program replacement modules.
